Ingredients for Wheat halwa
Soaked Wheat (भीगे हुए गेहूं ) - 1/2 cup (100 gms)
Ghee (घी ) - 3/4 cup (150 gms)
Sugar (चीनी ) - More than 1 cup (250 gms)
Cahsew (काजू ) - 1/3 cup (finely chopped)
Green Cardamom (इलाइची ) - 5 to 6 (coarsely ground)
How to make Wheat Halwa.
1. Soak cleaned wheat in a bowl of water for 12 hours.
2. When soaked, put in mixer jar, add some water and grind to a fine paste.
3. Put the paste in a strainer, and strain it well.Put the leftover wheat back in jar, add water grind and strain again.
4. Add ghee to pan to heat, add chopped cashews. Slightly roast them and stir regularly. Keep flame medium. Once aromatic and puffy take out in plate.
5. Heat wok add ghee add sugar. Stir and cook until it completely melts. Keep flame high.
6. Once sugar has caramalised and is golden then turn off flame.
7. Slightly cover the wok and add water to the sugar. Stir it well and cook till sugar dissolves.
8. Turn on flame. Add wheat milk to it. Reduce flame. Stir and mix it continuously. Keep flame medium. Stir till dense.
9. Add ghee and cook till it absorbs the ghee. Then add chopped cashews, also add green cardamom powder. Mix well.
Serving :
10. Mouth Drooling Wheat Halwa is ready, Take it out in a bowl.Garnish halwa with some cashews. You can keep this in fridge for over 5 to 6 days and relish it.
